AN ANCIENT SYMBOL OF PROTECTION
Long before motorcycles, bells carried a protective meaning. Across ancient and medieval traditions, their sound was believed to ward off demons, evil spirits and even storms.
On the road, that ancient idea takes on a distinctly rider form. The Guardian Bell is small, but the culture surrounding it is anything but — a symbol shaped by legend, ritual, protection and the meaning of giving one to someone you want home safe.
01 — THE GREMLINS
MISCHIEF IN THE MACHINE
Gremlins entered modern folklore as mischievous creatures blamed for the problems no one could quite explain — mechanical failures, strange faults and bad luck around machinery.
During the Second World War, stories of gremlins spread widely among RAF airmen and mechanics, giving a name and a face to the unseen trouble that seemed to follow machines.
In later rider folklore, the gremlin found a new home: the road. Mechanical trouble, breakdowns and bad luck became the work of road gremlins. Riders had their own answer.

02 — THE BELL
A DEFENSE AGAINST ROAD GREMLINS
According to the legend, road gremlins stay close to the ground, causing breakdowns, bad luck and trouble along the way. The Guardian Bell is mounted low on the motorcycle, where its ringing is said to keep them at bay.
But the bell carries more than the legend. It has become a symbol of protection, safe return and the people waiting beyond the ride — a small reminder that someone wants you home safe.
